Field Services Technician
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Field Services Technician is a key part of the operations team responsible for design, planning, execution, and troubleshooting of Asset Condition Monitoring Systems focused on meeting customer and business goals. This position will be focused on systems and instrumentation (reactive based) service.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated person with hands-on ability to get the job done, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work and communicate well with a variety of professionals in a collaborative atmosphere are expected for this position.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

- Understand contractual commitments
- Support Site Leads in the execution of projects
- Install transducers and configure monitoring systems
- Identify problems and take the initiative to eliminate those problems for project / service success
- Update (redline) installation documentation
- Monitor site safety during site execution
- Perform installations, commissioning, and trouble-shooting of Bently Nevada Hardware and Software Products and Solutions at and customer locations
- Timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements
- Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality

- Demonstrate authority and assurance dealing with people
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel
- Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines
- Ability to set / meet aggressive targets and work under stressful working conditions
- Strong computer skills using MS Office software
- Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills
- “Hands-on approach”
- Experience with Networking devices and protocols
- Minimum 2 years of industry (energy and/or oil & gas) experience
- Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and services or other machinery protection and management systems
- Public presentation & training skills
- Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems
- Familiarity with tools including but not limited to: Bently Nevada TK-Series Test Kits, Thermocouple Calibrator, RTD Calibrator, handheld DMM, function generator, power supply, oscilloscope, basic hand tools (training available as needed)
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand mechanical and electrical prints
- Experience using AutoCAD
